Dear Prime Minister,
I would like to congratulate you and the Labour Party on your election victory on 4th July 2024 on behalf of members of the Hindu Forum of Britain (HFB).
Our great nation faces many challenges on multiple fronts. The ripple effects of global conflicts have significantly impacted faith-related issues within our multifaith community. The Hindu community has witnessed and experienced a significant rise in anti-Hindu hatred and trust that your leadership with the potential to bridge gaps and promote harmony will create a more unified and resilient society.
The Hindu Forum of Britian has been established since 2004 to be the voice of British Hindus. We have always endeavoured to work with all governments, regardless of their political colour. Our Hindu values inspire us to work for the welfare of the nation. You will no doubt be aware that Hindus are not just hardworking and successful, but we also contribute significantly to the national GDP. We are very well integrated into British society and are very law abiding. In essence, we are a positive asset for the nation.
I extend our wish to work with you to ensure that the needs, the wishes, and the aspirations of the Hindu community are addressed such that we can increase our contribution to our country. I hope we can meet as soon as your diary allows, and that we can foster in an age of constructive dialogue between government and the Hindu community. We have several constructive observations that we feel you should consider in your deliberations on how we take this nation forward. As such, we would value an opportunity to share these with you at earliest.
